About this tool
PNG to JPG is the most common conversion: PNG screenshots and design exports often run to several megabytes, while JPG usually drops to one fifth or one tenth, which is easier to send in chat, attach to email or upload.
- Batch mode: drop several PNG files and download a ZIP when done
- Quality control: 90% by default for clarity and size, or 70% to 80% for the smallest files
- Transparency fill: PNG transparency is not forced to white; choose the background yourself
- Same dimensions: encoding changes, pixels do not
Things to watch
- Not for logos or line art: JPG adds gray noise around flat edges, so keep those as PNG or use WebP
- Screenshot text needs 90% or more: low quality introduces jagged edges and color halos on small type
- Repeated conversion loses quality: every JPG save recompresses, so convert once from the original PNG
