About this tool
The image resizer changes the width and height of a picture for web pages, social posts, ID photos and more:
- Many formats: PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF and BMP
- Pixel input: set the exact width and height
- Percentage scaling: enlarge or shrink proportionally, for example to 50 percent
- Locked aspect ratio: keep the original proportions, type one side and the other is calculated
- Live preview: see the result and the new file size right away
- One-click download: save the resized image when done
When to use it
- Web images: shrink a high resolution original to a size that loads quickly
- Social sharing: fit the sizes each platform expects
- ID photos: resize to an exact pixel size
- Email attachments: reduce the file so it sends easily
- Thumbnails: generate previews in batches
Everything runs locally in the browser; images are never uploaded.
This tool changes dimensions only and does not cut edges. Use the image cropper to select an area, or the rotate tool to change the angle.
