About this tool
The column tool works with multi-column text data, combining splitting, merging and Cartesian products:
- Split: divide each line on tabs, commas, spaces or a custom delimiter and keep the columns you choose
- Merge: join two columns line by line with a delimiter of your choice
- Cartesian product: produce every combination of two text lists
When to use it
- Pulling selected columns out of CSV data
- Pairing a name list with an email list
- Generating keyword combinations such as city plus product
- Converting between data formats
