About this tool
The mosaic tool covers sensitive parts of an image and protects personal data:
- Partial mosaic: drag a rectangle over the area to cover, and add as many areas as needed
- Full frame: apply the effect to the entire image with one click
- Adjustable blocks: block size from 4 to 80 pixels; larger blocks hide more
- Live preview: selections and block changes are visible instantly
- Area management: undo the last area or clear them all
- Export formats: download as PNG, JPG or WebP
When to use it
- ID documents: hide ID numbers, names and other personal details
- License plates: cover a plate to protect privacy
- Faces: hide people who did not agree to appear
- Chat screenshots: cover names, avatars and phone numbers
- Sensitive text: hide passwords, account names and addresses
