About this tool
The folder batch creator writes a script that makes a whole tree of directories:
- Batch input: one folder per line, nested paths such as a/b/c supported
- Three scripts: Windows BAT, Linux and macOS Shell, and PowerShell
- Recursive by default: nested paths use mkdir -p or md so parents are created
- Numbering: generate names such as folder_01 through folder_99
- Copy: the script goes to the clipboard in one click
When to use it
- Scaffold a standard project directory structure
- Create one folder per lesson for a course
- Build archive folders by date or number
- Give each team member their own directory
