Decimal Formatter

The decimal formatter rewrites every number in a block of text to a fixed number of decimal places:

• Places: keep 0 to 10 decimals
• Rounding: round half up, floor, ceil or truncate
• Pad zeros: optionally fill to the chosen precision, so 3.5 becomes 3.50
• Grouping: optionally add thousands separators such as 1,234,567.89
• Batch: every number in the text is detected and formatted
• Before and after: a table shows each original and its formatted value

When to use it

• Make precision consistent across a report
• Format financial amounts for presentation
• Normalise scientific results to one precision
• Clean data before further processing
